Zaituni bin Duhn is a vendor in the Tarna bazaar, selling various oils. He operates from his vending-space, "Zaituni's All-Purpose Olive Oil", in the central area of the bazaar. He despises most of the other merchants, wishing for Ta'me al Asal to swallow a bee and for the fish seller and drummer to be thrown in the river.

  • The name choice is a bit odd for this character. Though Bin Duhn is male, the name "Zaituni" is considered a feminine name.
  • Zaituni means "olive", or in some contexts, "guava" or "canistel", in Swahili.
