Background[]
This article discusses Gloriana as it appears in Hero-U. The world as it appears in Hero-U is a convergent world that takes many ideas from all the Cole's versions of the Gloriana universe including Birth of a Hobbit, Hero's Quest/Quest For Glory, tabletop D&D, How To Be A Hero (novels), School For Heroes website (the full extent of the converging ideas is not clear, but it does mean that Four Heroes and the Unknown Hero (Devon Aidendale (Hero-U) and other character stories) all coexist).
The Gloriana from Hero-U (and QFG) computer games is technically an alternate world to that of Cole's table-top version of Gloriana (D&D). Where that parallel universe was dominated by the Gods and divine powers and their followers (Clerics), Hero-U's Gloriana was heavily influenced by Science and Magic.
The various versions of Gloriana and other worlds it connects too are known as the Multiverse. At least some of these alternate versions of Gloriana (including some known as Glorianna) converged into one main world (sharing and mixing histories with the others) which makes up the world of Hero-U.

If we had unlimited funding and the rights to Quest for Glory, we would make a game centering around the children of the Hero and the one he wed in QfG: Dragonfire. You could import your old saved character from the original game, select the blushing bride, and then their offspring would take up the mantle of heroism. The next game would be set in some Oriental land, either Wolfie’s homeland, Inja, or further east. We deliberately avoided bringing too much Eygptus into QG3. We really wanted to concentrate upon the African setting. However, if Hero-U is a success, we will have four more games set in the Hero University in Silmaria centering around the other classes. For sophomore year though, the students will be exchange students in Alexandria, Egyptus.
