The Music Box is an item in Quest for Glory I. It is a valuable that the Thief can steal.
Background[]
This music box belongs to Otto von Goon in the Town of Spielburg. It sits in the Sheriff's House on a coffee table.
In-Game Use[]
When the Thief breaks into the Sheriff's House, he can steal the Music Box. He can then fence the item by giving it to Boris in the Thieves' Guild, who will give him 90 silvers for it as long as the Thief is a member of the Guild.
The box also creates a humorous and tense moment. If the Thief opens the box, a charming tune will play. The Sheriff will yell at Otto to turn off the box and go to bed. Otto will sleepily stroll out of his room, shut the box, and go back to bed without noticing the Hero. The narration will state that the Hero does not want to attempt that a second time.

- The song that the music box plays is a real life tune most commonly known as Fur Elise[1] by Ludwig von Beethoven.
