Flying Falls

Flying Falls is a point of interest in Spielburg Valley. It is featured in Quest for Glory I.

Background

This waterfall can be found southeast of the town entrance. It is sometimes said that the water seems to leap as it crests the top of the waterfall, which is where the falls get their name.

Besides the falls, the only other obvious feature in this area is a ledge on the cliffside with a door set into the rock wall. This is actually the home of Henry the Hermit, although the means to get to the door are not readily apparent.

Henry's domicile is a modest cavern affair with a table for entertaining guests, a rock bed, and a few trinkets strewn about.

• In the EGA version, the door on the ledge was very obvious, as it is wooden. In the VGA version, the door is stone and harder to spot against the rock face.
• Attempting to harm Henry or steal from him will result in him casting Trigger on the Hero, sending him to the top of the falls, where he will plummet to his death.
