Chaos is one of the dimensions in which the Dark Ones find home. It is a realm of Darkness and death.
Background[]
It is their dark dimension. There are in fact more than one realm of Chaos. The Dark Ones are creatures of another plane of existence. They are incredibly powerful and dangerous. When they enter this world, they bring Darkness, madness, and destruction.
Erana used her final spell, to bind the Darkness from within, and send it back to the Chaos from which it came. But she was only half successful only banishing it to the 'world between worlds' in a place between dimensions (limbo).
Behind the scenes[]
In QFG4 the realm of the Dark Ones is described as a 'dimension' but is called the "Chaos" in one instance.[1]
The coles have called this realm the Chaos Realm in some of their later stories and ideas Erana (School For Heroes) outside of the Quest For Glory proper.
